When doing joint exercises with the BCR’s ^

Intent: Ex VIRTUAL CREWMAN will see the BCD deploy to Beatty St Armouries, Vancouver BC, where the composite BCD/BCR Sqn will conduct crew drills focused training, progressing up to a Sqn level C3 capacity, all training to be conducted within a Sqn context.

Main Effort: Patrol Level Exercise, progressing to Troop and Sqn level training in a Formation Recce context.

End State: The BCD will re-deploy having achieved a basic ability to conduct patrol/troop/Sqn level Recce drills IOT conduct further gateway training in preparation for Ex COUGAR DEFENDER 16

Scope: The Exercise will be conducted on the Virtual Battlefield Simulator Version II (VBS 2). The focus will be on conducting Route, Area, Zone Recce’s utilising mounted patrol elements setting the conditions for Ex COUGAR DEFENDER 16.
